About Amelia Johnson
Hi, My name is Amelia Johnson. I am the Official Pet Guide on SelfGrowth.com. Pets are my life. Right out of high school, I became a professional dog groomer so that I could pay my college expenses. However, the grooming business became so successful that I continued with that until I was lured into becoming a show horse trainer. That vocation required long hours seven days a week, with very little time off. The next chapter in my journey with pets was to open a professional pet sitting/dog training service. Well, duh, same long hours. Employees cut back on the hours for me but raised the expenses and cut into the profits.
Like so many people, I grew tired of worrying how the bills would get paid every month. What if I got sick and couldn't work? I knew I could never create the life I wanted and deserved unless I found a way to partner with others. There was nothing worse than going to bed every night with the feeling that what I was reaching for, felt so far away.
So I decided to do something about it. My American Eskimo Blizzard was the catalyst for me to open the door to a new way of life. Blizzard was suffering from Cushing's disease. After a few years of using western medicine to maintain his life, my eyes were opened by a holistic veterinarian who revealed the importance of food as a medicine.
Unfortunately, the medication Blizzard had been on destroyed all chance of reversal of his disease. The most that I could do for him was provide him with the best food on the market. But it had to be a food that he liked and would eat readily. Blizzard sampled over a dozen foods: raw, frozen, and kibble. The one that he preferred was Life's Abundance. I trusted his decision but wanted to be sure the company had integrity.
As a pet professional all of my life, I was shocked that I was only vaguely aware of what was going on in the pet food industry. I became a detective and made it a point to personally meet the owners and founders of the Life's Abundance company. Then I met the product formulator, Dr. Jane Bicks, a veterinarian that truly cares about the health of our pets. I enthusiastically made the decision to join the Life's Abundance team to provide solutions to pet lovers like myself who want to have their pets live long, healthy, happy lives.
Working from home has been an absolute blessing. Blizzard has passed on. Now I get to stay home with Schatzi, a dynamic diva who has been raised on Life's Abundance. I am working using the right methods now, rather than harder as I had been taught before. I am making more money, and have more time to enjoy it. This business provides me with an opportunity to meet people just like me, and help them create the life and lifestyle they dream about.
